The following report contains a comprehensive study on the structural system of the Hershey Medical Center Children's Hospital. An alternative structural design using a reinforced concrete system was explored. A cost analysis was estimated for the proposed design along with a detailed construction schedule. The glass curtain wall of the North facade was the focus of an energy study for heat flow. An alternative curtain wall system was proposed to reduce energy transmission through the enclosure.
